A massive mall of Eastside artists, 1000 Parker houses the work spaces of painters Eve Leader and Luc Bernard, plus some fine furniture makers. If you haven’t been on the Crawl before, it is an incredible opportunity to view the studios and meet the artists that make East Vancouver so vibrant. Some of our favourite artists in 1000 Parker St. include: Doug Lane (furniture) who is directly across the hall from us on the 1st floor, Peter Rainier (furniture) on the 2nd floor, Arleigh Wood (painter) on the 3rd floor, and Dave Robinson (sculpture) who’s gallery is on the 4th floor. Outside of our building, Strathcona is really cool to walk around and my voyeuristic side really enjoys checking out the live/work studios at the Arc and Railtown Studios.
